Old Times

Old Times is a real-time, first-person strategy game for 1-4 players online. There are no dice and no turns - everyone plays at the same time. Walk the board yourself, carry resources by hand, and race your rivals to build the biggest settlement. The first player to reach 10 Victory Points wins.

Gather Resources

• Living resource tiles - The board is made of 19 hex tiles: forests, clay pits, wheat fields, ore mountains, sheep pastures and a desert. Each resource tile produces Wood, Brick, Wheat, Ore or Sheep on its own timer (50 to 110 seconds). Press a key to see every tile's countdown.

• Haul your harvest - Your houses next to a tile collect what it produces as physical items. Pick them up (carry two at a time), walk them to the Bank and deposit them before your house fills up and stops producing.

Build Your Settlement

• Build in first person - Hold to construct houses on dirt mounds at tile corners and roads along the edges between tiles. Every structure takes real time to build, so pick your moment.

• Grow into towns - Upgrade your houses into towns that produce double resources and are worth more points. You can even walk inside them.

Trade at the Bank and Docks

• Bank trades - Trade any 4 of one resource for 1 of another at the Bank.

• Shipping docks - Build next to the docks to unlock better 3:1 and 2:1 rates.

• Development cards - Buy cards at the Shop: Knights, Monopoly, Year of Plenty, Road Building and hidden Victory Point cards.

Outbuild Your Friends

• Send in the Knights - Stand next to a tile and play a Knight to move the robber there. This stops the tile from producing and steals a resource from a rival who has a building on it.

• Monopoly - Take every unit of one resource from all other players.

• Tax Events - Tax collectors arrive at random times. Anyone holding more than 7 resources loses half of them, and every item waiting at houses or lying on the ground is wiped out. Spend your resources or risk losing them.

• Bonus points - Build the Longest Road (5+ roads) or raise the Largest Army (3+ Knights) for 2 extra Victory Points each.

First to 10 Points Wins

• House - 1 point (costs 1 Wood, 1 Brick, 1 Wheat, 1 Sheep)

• Town - 2 points (costs 2 Wheat, 3 Ore)

• Road - costs 1 Wood, 1 Brick

• Longest Road / Largest Army - 2 points each

• Victory Point cards - 1 point each, revealed at the end of the game
